B.C. orders Vancouver to spray for Japanese beetle

May 25, 2018 – The British Columbia government has ordered the City of Vancouver to spray 19 hectares of parkland to eradicate the Japanese beetle before it has a chance to spread. The ministry of agriculture is concerned that without action the invasive pest may escape the area.
